Dear Guests,
Our business is located in the middle of beautiful, unspoilt countryside. We are an organic farm, we produce without pesticides or chemical fertilisers and we grow ancient varieties of fruit that shops no longer sell. We are very proud of our vegetable garden, which provides us with fragrant and flavourful vegetables, and of our organic extra virgin olive oil.
We try to do our best to reduce our environmental impact: we use coffee grounds to repel ants, garlic to deter many plant pests, and chilli peppers to keep certain mammals at bay. We are also mindful of energy consumption and waste disposal.
We hope you share this philosophy and ask you to help us with the usual small everyday gestures.
Outdoor lighting:
In the evening, when you return, you can turn on the outdoor lights using the switches on the gate posts.
From the dining area, behind the small tree, you can control the outdoor lights from your home: one switch controls the wall lamps; the other controls the floor lamps, including the lamp on the small terrace.
The lights under the patio have a separate switch: please ensure they are switched off before going to bed.
Two lights remain on: these cannot be controlled by switches, as they are regulated by a timer, and are the only lights to be left on at night; this way, you can watch the stars while the wild animals sleep.
Separate waste collection:
The organic waste bin and the non-recyclable waste bin are in the garden, in front of the kitchen. Hidden among the laurel trees, near the patio, there are three bins: one for paper (clean), another for plastic and cans, and one for glass (rinsed).
Air conditioning and heating:
We recommend setting the summer temperature to 26°C and the winter temperature to 20°C. Please remember to close the windows when the systems are switched on.
